Braised Turnips

Excellent in the winter after the frosts

In a cast-iron skillet, heat the olive oil. Add the garlic, salt and chili pepper; stir, then add the turnips and stir to coat with the oil. Cook at slow heat with the skillet uncovered, stirring often to cook them evenly.
