These English pancakes are essentially crepes. This recipe is a tradition in my family.
Whisk egg and milk together, add flour and salt and whisk. Chill. Add 1 tablespoon water then fry small amounts of batter, enough to cover the bottom of the pan, in butter.
Cut lemons in half and serve with pancakes. Coat each pancake in a small amount of lemon and sugar and roll up into a tube.
